Reminder – Bible Study meeting tomorrow!
He Who Promised is _____?
Back in the days of early Pentecostalism, preachers were notorious for teaching Bible verses in this way: the pastor would start the sentence and the congregation (having been expected to memorize the verse the week earlier) would have to respond. Thus, Hebrews 10:23 would be, “He who promised is _____?” Answer: Faithful!
Everyone would clap, there might be a drum roll, and chances are good that the whole church would burst into a song based on the “Verse of the Day.” Great is Thy Faithfulness comes to mind . . .
Many of our churches still have similar practices, but we have grown pretty lazy about Bible memorization. We’d like to encourage you to take some extra time with your family to memorize a weekly, or monthly, Bible verse.
Why is this important, Pastor? Well, you need to have an arsenal. The enemy wants to attack you, to make you feel depressed, get you angry, cause havoc in your life. Jesus has given us the Word of God (the Holy Bible) as the Sword of the Spirit. When the fiery darts of the enemy come against you, Christian man or Christian woman, you need to speak the Word of God over your life, over your family, over your children. If the enemy says to you, “Look at such and such situation. Wow, its really tough and your finances are dwindling and hmmmm sure looks like you’re never going to get anywhere in life because you don’t have the right this or the right that…”
That is called Gibber Gabber. Its Satan’s way of muddling up your mind so you get distracted from your goals and you don’t move on to your God-given Divinely-appointed destiny! You have to fight back. If you have accepted Jesus Christ into your life, you are an enlisted Soldier in the Army of the Lord!
Speak success into your life. Speak peace into your life. When the enemy wants to convince you that God has forgotten about you, tell that liar that “He who promised is FAITHFUL!” God was with you in the beginning, God is with you now, and God will be with you to see you thru a beautiful future!
Don’t you let hopelessness torment you. Isaiah 57:10 “You were tired out by the length of your road, yet you did not say, it is hopeless.’ You found renewed strength, Therefore you did not faint.”
You were hopeless before you found salvation in Jesus Christ. If He has lifted you out of the pit of hell, then you have reason to rejoice and be glad because no longer does hopelessness, death, low self-esteem, poverty, illness have hold on you. You are free to praise Him, free to dance, free to sing, free to live a life of purity and holiness for the King of Kings, the Lord God Almighty, El Shaddai, Jehovah Jireh, the Lord of All!
God has told us to seek and we will find. Whatever you are looking for today, find the answer in Jesus. Don’t wander around lost anymore, wondering what the purpose of life is. You were created to worship Him and to rely on His faithfulness to provide for your every need.
If you have not yet accepted Jesus Christ, now is the perfect opportunity. You are reading this and you might be in your office someplace or at home and everyone else has gone to sleep. It doesn’t matter who you are or what you’ve done. You might be a Fortune 500 CEO or you might be a drug dealer ready to turn your ways around for God. Today is the day of salvation. You don’t have to go it alone anymore. Jesus can save your life.
Pray a prayer with humility in your own words: Father, I have been astray like a sheep without a shepherd. I have sinned and done evil in Your sight. Today I want You to change me, to transform me. I accept You, Jesus, into my heart as my only Lord and Savior. You are my Lord because I will obey You, and You are my Savior because I believe with all my heart that You died on the Cross to save me from my sins. Without You, Jesus, I would not have hope, but because of You, I will be with You in eternity. Thank You for loving me, thank You for healing me, and thank You for saving me. Holy Spirit, come into my life, today. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Estamos muy contentos de que Dios nos permitio de estar en North Carolina para ayudar a la communidad en general. Estamos en Cary, y queremos que todos conoscan de nuestro Senor Jesucristo como su unico Senor y Salvador.
Estamos agradecidos con Dios por permitir tener relacion con la iglesia y ver los contentos, alegres, desde ninos hasta adultos. Es nuestro primero “fellowship” y desehamos muchos mas. It was a delicious BBQ!
